Housing Support
We help consumers find safe, affordable housing, working directly with government and non-profit agencies to act as advocates and liaisons. Our on-staff housing specialist provides resources and ongoing assistance, guiding consumers every step of the way to meet their housing needs.
Day Program
Life Stride’s Rehabilitation Day Program provides services Monday through Friday, providing education and socialization to individuals with mental illness. Daily classes are held in small groups, covering topics including money management, alcohol and drug relapse prevention, stress management, anger management, and health education. The program also offers weekly group therapy to enhance communication skills and understanding of mental illness.
Adult Day Program
Life Stride’s Adult Day Health Program (ADHP) is designed to promote well-being and socialization for adults age 55 and over. The program offers an alternative to costly facility-based care, providing older adults access to non-residential medical support and supervised therapeutic activities in an integrated community setting. The ADHP operates Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
Substance Abuse
Life Stride’s Substance Abuse Day Program (SUDS) provides individual counseling and group services to consumers seeking treatment for addiction. The program is based on a disease model of recovery, taking a 12-Step approach to treatment. Groups are geared to address the complex physical, behavioral, psychological, social and spiritual components that can impair functioning. Treatment modalities include interpersonal skill-building, psychoeducation, reality therapy and cognitive therapy. SUDS is open to adults 18 years and above.
Supported Employment
We offer hands-on assistance to help consumers secure, regain and retain competitive employment. Working in partnership with Psychiatric Centered Chartered, Inc. we help to match consumers with jobs consistent with their skills, education and interest.
